Korbin makes his way forward to the last hawk, once next to it he begins chanting and motioning, his last moves are to vault his hands up towards the sky, following instantaneously a mountain of flame shoots up below the bird, suddenly the area reeks of burnt flesh.

Milo steps back and fires a lethal arrow into the bird's chest before Korbin finishes it off with a spectacular blast of fire. The hawk is a mere pile of ashes now. [+1000exp]
Young Chet commends you for your skills. He has obviously never been in battle apart from the training with the Royal Army. Taking a look around though, you notice that the man has disappeared, obviously frightened away by the hawks. Following the well-travelled road over the next few days you all use up most of the rations which were given to you and, by evening on the fifth day, arrive at the wondrous town of Portsmouth! Even bigger and brighter than Newcastle, you can see that Portsmouth is an absolute haven for adventurers. The roads and shops are reminiscent of Newcastle but everything seems to have a much earthier feel on a grander scale. There are many tall buildings made of beautiful stone and quality shops selling fine weaponry right alongside the common folk selling their own wares. The roads seem especially packed at this time of the day, before supper. Chet quickly locates the closest Adventurer's Union outpost, close to the edge of the city. After checking in and presenting some papers, Chet says he has booked 3 rooms and leads you to them. He gives you all a small booklet which he says is an "Adventurer's Union Passport. It allows you to travel more easily through countries and provinces, and also allows for quick checking at our ourposts. You'll need them when we depart Tyne the day after tomorrow. Rest up for now and tomorrow you can look through Portsmouth. It's really a spectacular place. Now we only have 3 rooms, so divide yourselves up. "

Facing Korbin, Milo asks, "Hey old dude, wanna room together? I'd feel safer with a walking time bomb near me."

Soabathil, turning to Pierre "Do you wish to room with me? Although we have already discussed it, I am quite interested in learning more of this Catholicism that you say you practiced."

Chet walks into his room and calls out, "Well Milo, looks like we'll be staying together." He readies himself for bed.
Coming back out of the room he tells each of you to take special care of your passports, "lest you wish to be left behind."

Yes, so it's the next day in the bustling riverside city of Portsmouth. It's quite gray and cloudy but all the people go about their daily business anyway. A large racket outside the hotel awakens you all. When you look out the window (out the third story), you see a large procession of green-robed elves and closed horse-drawn cabs. They are making their way through the mob of seemingly angry people but are protected by a many bodyguards. Chet comes to your rooms and fills you in. "Well the elves and the humans along the river have had a rough relationship since the War. The Ambassador is here to hammer out some trade negotiations. Many of these people don't like the elves, though, because the elves are still very sore about the war. They were forced out of their lands in the east to here. Mersey is largely independent but because of the lack of natural forsets depend on the elves for good lumber, which the elves heavily tax. I'll bet the governor doesn't do anything about it. He's quite rich. Anyway, feel free to explore the city, but just be careful, we don't want to incite an international brawl." He announces that he will be doing some Union work and then leaves.

Korbin stares at the cavalryman, "Why would you ever voluntarily spend time with those little fru-fru good for nothing elves?"

Tyrael
Straightening his posture, he looks at Korbin and says Well it couldnt hurt to have someone of my name supervising the negotiations. And it would help the citizens if the elves reduce the tax on lumber, along with possibly quelling some of these public showings of hostility.
