Ah, finally! Also, just a quick note, when posting, always put your name on the first line. If in battle, maybe your HP too. Also, roleplaying shouldn't be that hard! Now let's begin, a world of mystery, intrigue, and random encounters!
----------------
The city of Newcastle is a bustling trade center in the southwestern portion of the kingdom of Tyne. Famed for its diversity, from farmers to the nobility, merchants to theives, and of course, adventurers. It is easily amongst the largest cities in the kingdom, and the one of the largest in the province of Mersey, second only to Portsmouth, an international river-trade city. You all find yourself in an Adventurer's Union outpost, on the outskirts of Newcastle, on the morn of a warm Summer day. You are all seated around a large conference table, helping yourself to the complimentary breakfast; the room is decorated with maps and copies of historical treaties, charters, etc. There are two men in the room: A guard near the door and a military officer who has just walked in. He wears an eyepatch and has numerous scars from a war years ago on his pale face. He introduces himself as Lieutenant Bessarbia. "Welcome gentlemen. I am not surprised that so few of you answered the call for this particular expeditition. As you know, several such as yourselves have explored the northern reaches of this continent, yet none have returned. Hopefully we will better equip you all to face whatever you may encounter. Now, if you will introduce yourselves!"

Milo, halfling scout
"I am Milo Leagallow. I specialize in ranged combat rather than frontline stuff, and I can find traps among other things. Best for me to stay near the back unless we're in a trap-ridden place," responds the little guy.
If you look at Milo, you'll see that he wears a red tunic (think Kid Link wearing the Goron Tunic, but with pants!), some halfling sized boots, little spectacles, has bright green eyes, and is bald.

Korbin Pokshal, Wizard
A wiry old human removes a pipe from his mouth to speak, "I am Korbin Pokshal, master of the arcane and alchemical arts. I was once a young bright-eyed adventurer like all of you but then I settled down but yet here I am trying my experienced hand at it once more." Korbin puts the pipe back in his mouth, after this he begins to stroke his snow white beard. As you look at him you find he wears navy robes, and a large cloak, within the cloak and robes are multiple pockets and folds holding a number of different vials and scrolls.

Tyreal Baston, Fighter
A tall, well groomed man wearing a normal explorers outfit stands up and looks about the party. He has blue eyes and a short brown beard. After a few seconds he speaks and says, "My name is Tyreal. I am of the Baston family and have served in the royal army. I am a strong fighter and am skilled in battling while riding a horse. I decided to join this party to aid in upholding order in the North, and because I do enjoy a good challenge". He then sits back in his seat and crosses his arms.

Soabathil, Cleric
Off to the side a large man stands and states, " I am Soabathil, I am a half-giant man of the cloth. I am skilled at keeping others around me alive and I have volunteered for this mission to dispose of the bad and evil in the North." He sits down, and you see that he is wearing banded mail armor, and has a heavy shield and a longsword strapped to his back.

Soabathil, you cannot fit into the chair because it is tiny compared to you. Good thing too, since it's just meant for really heavy people, not half giants with heavy armor.

Pierre Sacrebleu, Monk
A very odd-looking man steps out of the corner. Dressed like a peasant, his long black hair falls to his waist. He is cleanshaved except for a small, exquisitely waxed moustache. Eyeing the lavishes of the room with fear and distrust, he says:
"Good day, all. I am Pierre Sacrebleu, formerly of the Catholic church of France. I was brought to this world by means of a dark portal, and was introduced to the faith of Heironeous by this man here when I wound up in his living room." He points to the half-giant sitting in the too-small chair. "I am skilled in unarmed combat, and can also serve as a stealthy assassin." He takes a flying leap and lands in one of the unoccupied chairs (Jump +10).

The man gives you a puzzeled look, Pierre. He shrugs it off and goes to the corner of the room and takes a map out of the closet. Unfurling it, it is the map you see here: ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/qwerty8447/Mapcopy.png) He points to the blank area in the northwestern region. "This is a yet undiscovered region, where the nomads are migrating from, unfortunately they have not been able to tell us anything in detail about it. It is indeed odd... and we have reason to believe that it is not a common blight or disease upon their lands, but we have not been able to identify it. I will send with you a guide and you all will receive your briefing tomorrow morning. Also tomorrow, you will receive supplies from the Adventurer's Union and set out at noon. Until then you are free to stay at one of the Union's lodgings for adventurers. Any questions?"

Korbin looks at the Lieutenant and says, "Yes, I have a simple question, what happens if we do find a threat in this uncharted region? Are we to eliminate it? Contact you? What exactly besides exploration and investigation are we supposed to do?"

"Yes this is mainly a reconaissance mission. If you do find a 'threat' in this region which is not directly involved with your mission then by all means destroy it. However, make sure that you do not make any enemies while on your way. Most of the people outside of Tyne have long-standing grudges because of the War, so it is advisable that you do not associate yourselves with us publicly. "However, if you are to find a 'threat' directly involved with the plague, then you are to report it to us before acting. You will receive more information on this tomorrow morning." "Alright, if none of you have anymore questions, then you shall be dismissed. Be here tomorrow 8am sharp, prepared. For now you may enjoy all that Newcastle has to offer or you could make your way to the lodgings we have provided. I imagine that some of you would like to get a general idea of the attitude of the townsfolk in regards to his mission, though they probably won't care much, seeing's how there have been several sent up already. Well, good day to you." He gives you a little card with an address written on it, gathers his things, and leaves.

Korbin looks at the group assembled before him, he then extends his hands towards this 'Frenchman' and says, "Forgive me, Mr Sacreblue was it, but I could've sworn you said that you had travelled here from another dimension? As a master of the arcane I cannot help but wish to study and better understand such a statement, perhaps you would wish to join for a drink at my home?"

Pierre
"Surely,...err, Korbin!" Slippery little buggers, those names are... "I would be more than happy to relate my travels through the dimensions to this land. However, I'm afraid I'm not much of a drinker. A cold glass of water and a fine loaf of bread will do me well. Seeing as that I have no more concerns with our mission here, we might as well depart immediately."

Korbin nods and says, "You are all free to join us if you wish, I do not live very far away just a few blocks to my lovely home. Otherwise I'll see you all in the morning." He stands and as oppossed to flipping up a hood, he pulls forth a large wide brimmed pointed hat, placing it carefully upon his head, checking to make sure nothing fell out of his pockets he steps towards the door grabbing a gnarled walking staff from next to the door he gestures to the monk, "Shall we sir?" Korbin then leads the monk towards his home. The home itself rests above the small alchemy shop which Korbin runs, he doesn't take anyone through the shop but up an outside set of steps into a small but cozy apartment. The parlor is a nice warm room with thick rugs and large over stuffed arm chairs, pouring himself some alchohol he hands the Monk a tall glass of water. Once everyone is comfortable he shall take out a pen and paper and write down anything the monk can tell him of his inter-dimensional travels.

Milo Leagallow, Hafling Scout
"Well, I shall retire to the Union's lodgings. Got a big day ahead, so it would be wise to rest up. See you gents tomorrow, then." With that, Milo gets to his feet, checks to make sure he has everything, and heads for the Adventurer's Union.
