It is about a year before the Battle of Yavin and you are residents of the space colony EK-256, which is one of only a few locations in the Galaxy which has managed to secure peace treaties with both the Empire and Rebellion. As such, the place is packed with all sorts of people who seek refuge, some for protection from the war, others because they are wanted criminals. The price of admission to live on one of the most sought-after residences is that everyone must put aside their differences. So, naturally, that got shot to hell with so many people crammed in the colony. To combat this, small groups of "correctional officers" were formed (aka: they beat the people up to make them cooperate). You guys were put together as one of these groups.
Info about the colony itself: it's split into 8 sectors, 4 on two layers, with transit systems along the outer edges and middle for easy transport throughout the colony. The lower layer is the slums of the colony, for the poor and more roudy people. The kind who spent most of their money to even get to the colony to begin with. Naturally, the upper layer is the more fancy and well-kept area. (Hooray for segregation!) You have your HQ in the local cantina of Sector 4 on the upper plate, since all great stories start off in a tavern. What would be the 'top' to those living inside the colony is the restricted area where all operations for the colony are maintained. IE, keeping the colony out of any nearby atmospheres, maintaining the oxygen levels, etc. You know, all that good stuff that keeps you all alive. The 'bottom' is the docking bay. Think like the colony is an oval-like object, with two spear-like points jutting from the top and bottom. Kinda like a top.
Starting level: 3 Starting Credits: 2000 (but Tynan doesn't really need any of this due to his Wealth talent) Races: Any, but I'm a little shakey on droids. I don't really see SW droids as being capable of thought other than what is programmed into them, so I can't really see a droid created purely to kill people being capable of sparing someone who begs for mercy. But no Wookiee Jedi, too overpowered.
I don't really think that the campaign will have a definite ending, just a series of adventures and whatnot. I mean, if there was enough time I would like for you guys to accidentally stumble across the newly-completed Death Star and steal the plans that Leia later gets, but I highly dougt we could get that far. Plus there would be a short skirmish with Vader, but I doubt you could stall him enough to make your escape.

And as I understand it, the party is thus:
Avi: Scout/Scoundrel Mark: Wookiee Soldier Tynan: Cerean Noble with a helluva lot of money Brian: Scout with acess to the Force
And Mark, could you not overly screw up my plans? I'd like my first go at the helm to not shatter all my confidence, thanks.

I didn't say it to mean it's going to be done intentionally, I'm saying it to state that this is what players do naturally. It's the nature of the beast really, most players just happen to screw up plans some way or another: you can't always plan away every scenario, it's something I learned in several ways. Also I rolled up my wookiee soldier and he looks awesome. Here's him without equipment so far: Growork, Wookie Soldier 3, Str: 21, Dex: 14, Con: 17, Int: 15, Wis: 11, Cha: 10, 55 (8, 8)hp, Ref 16 (Flat 14), Fort 18, Will 13, Threshold 23, 6 squares, BAB +3, Feats-Armor Prof (light, medium), Weapon Prof (pistols, rifles, simple), Advanced Melee Weapons, Mighty Swing, Improved Damage Threshold, Talents-Melee Smash, Harm's Way, Skills-Initiative +8, Knowledge (Tactics) +8, Mechanics +8, Perception +6, Jump +11
I can post a short background if you wish.

Well, yeah, we have sorta unintentionally messed up your plans in the past. But if you can sorta tell that I have just one scenario planned out (like if I'm asking if you're absolutely sure you want to kill Enemy #24), don't go the other way.
I already have a backup idea in case you do decide to do this in the first adventure, though. But it would be more badass for the guy to rechallenge you.
You can go ahead and post the background. You too, Tynan.

Seriously Steve, like 15-30 minutes into KotOR 2 and your perspective on droids in Star Wars will be completely different. Also, I have a character concept in the works, I'll post it sometime in the night.

Oh I know all about HK-47. But I just don't see how a droid can act on his own.

Oh he's not necessarily referring to HK-47, the more independent droid is of course T3-M4. Many droids who go without memory wipes develop personality quirks that make them seem on levels equal to a sentient. Plus, some droids are just poorly programmed or have a more open interpretation of their orders.

I've already rattled off my background to Brian and Mark, but I'm too tired to post it now. Will probably do so tomorrow.

Okay, so T3-M4 does do some stuff independently during the prologue and on Peragus, so I stand corrected.

Hey, a character background!
Sylvan Koonar was, once upon a time, a ordinary Cerean. Peaceful and contemplative, he was renowned as a brilliant strategist, and was drafted into the Republic army a couple years prior to the end of the Clone Wars. When the Republic transformed into the Empire, he stayed on as an officer of an Inderdictor Cruiser. Despite the rampant xenophobia of the Empire, he had already garned a fine reputation as a commanding officer and didn't look too alien (aside from his big cone head). He stayed on for about eight years, garnering quite the impressive reputation among military leaders and smugglers alike, after which he retired from the service to become the senator for Cerea.
While in the military, Sylvan had been one of the Empire's biggest proponents. He truly felt that he was helping maintain the safety of the citizens of the Empire and that his services were appreciated. However, once he became a Senator, he was able to see the true corruption and oppression that was the core of the Empire. A couple outspoken speeches on the senate floor about the fundamental rights of all human beings and the right to autonomy quickly got him in touch with Senator Bail Organa, and they quickly became close allies. Unfortunately, it also got him on the blacklist of the Empire. Since he was an obscure senator of an obscure alien race of an obscure planet, he was chosen first in a series of targets to kill. The Empire chose poison. Unfortunately for the Empire, Sylvan, being an expect medical practitioner, had nearly every antidote known to man in his front desk drawer. He was able to heal himself of the poison, but he couldn't heal himself of his newfound hatred of the Empire.
On the asteroid EK-256, a single space shuttle touched down in the spaceport, emitting a single black-cloaked figure with a curiously pointy head. Word on the streets was that he was the leader of MDK Droids, Inc., producers of some of the most feared assassin droids around, and one of the more reputable residents of the Corporate Sector. It was reputed that he was fabulously wealthy as well as fabulously paranoid, and had enough explosives under his cloak to take out a small army. The citizens thought that he had arrived to do business with a client. But this time, Sylvan had other plans. He had heard of this colony, and he felt that he could spread his message of freedom here. However, there was one small item he had to take care of first. He walked into a local cantina and sat down at the bar, silencing all nearby conversation. Waving over the bartender, he said,
"Gimme a bantha blaster."

the fundamental rights of all human beings "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings!" Heh. Oh, it's not an asteroid, Tynan. Just a station made out of metal and such. And I had the idea that you guys would be at the colony for at least a year, so you would already know one another (you'd still have to describe yourselves at the beginning of the campaign), and so that you were somewhat known around the colony. You know, for people to recommend you to others who have jobs that need taken care of.
