((No that is correct))
"Really?" Natalie asks, her voice registering as quite surprised, "But that's not what I..." She then pauses unsure of exactly what to say, she stares at Mr. Marston clearly uneasy.
((Could you make a PS: Teacher and a Persuasion roll for me?))

[Both rolls succeed by one.]

Natalie gazes around the room, and quickly closes the door to the outside hall as she returns to stand before Mr. Marston. She opens up her bag and pulls out a thick leather bound tome that she sets down on her physics teacher's desk. "But the people I got this from," She says very quietly, "They say that magic has a certain set of rules to how it works, and the more I understand those rules, the more this book will make sense to me."

Marston thinks for a moment before responding, speaking carefully. "Well, I don't know that I can argue with you or the people who gave you your book. And if it works for you, then keep pursuing it. Carefully, of course. But I've had enough success in life, and I've never written a single formula - for magic, that is."

She nods, still looking some what shocked and surprised. Natalie then looks carefully at Mr. Marston and says, "So how do you do magic?"

"Well, I either build or find items that let me, shall we say, channel power. The most successful ones of these though, really only augment what I can already do."

"Oh," She replies, as she digs into her bag and pulls out a thin wooden stick, "I sort of use this to channel power, and well other things too." Natalie then shakes her head.
((Could you roll me a perception check?))

[Surely! It succeeds by 2.]

Mr. Marston can just make out the sound of one, maybe two individuals creeping up on his classroom door.

Mr. Marston quickly stops saying whatever he was saying, holds up an open-palmed hand. Quickly, he moves over to the door, and then:
If there is a window, he looks out and tries to see who's there. If there is no window, he opens the door a crack and looks to see if the people are directly in front of his door. If nobody's there, he pokes his head out and looks left and right down the hallway.
In any case he makes another Perception check, which succeeds by 4.

By peaking through the window on his door, Mr. Marston is able to spot a student he does not recognize slowly approaching the door. In one of his hands he is holding some sort of disk that is glowing in a strange light, and in the other he is holding some kind of vial containing a bluish liquid.

Opening the door, Mr. Marston asks, "Can I...help you?" He also arches an eyebrow in Natalie's direction.
I hope this isn't going where I think it's going. I have enough trouble with the district already.

"KIIIIIIIIYAAAAAHHHH!" The boy with the glass vial says as he smashes it into the wall to the left of the door creating a gaping man-sized hole in the wall that he then moves through.
((We will treat this as Mr. Marston holding his Phase 12 action, so what is your phase 12 action?))

Well then, I guess he isn't interested in talking. Better try to subdue him quickly.
[If I visualized this correctly, he is now standing next to me after blasting through the wall, so I should be able to attack without moving.]
Marston tosses a left straight, followed by a big right hook.
[Sweep, Punchx2. First attack hits 12 or less, second attack hits 8 or less. First punch does 30 stun, 8 body. Second punch does 31 stun, 9 body. DCV is now 7.]

Marston's fists slam quickly into the boy's body, the young man spots the punches connecting and barely angles himself so that he is able to roll with the attack and take slightly less of the force of the punches though he still looks as if a strong wind would blow him over.
((He aborts to Roll With the Punch and succeeds though just barely, and the attacks still nearly knock him the fuck out.))
Mr. Marston spots a girl suddenly appearing a few yards away in the hallway. She is also a student, and she quickly waves her hands about and seems to say something while she is covered in a glowing set of purple armor. Following this she points her hands out and bellows several latin words that Mr. Marston does not recognize and a long line of fire bursts toward him.
((This looks like it is going to connect, though it's a normal damage attack, would Mr. Marston like to abort?))
