CAVEAT: This one-shot can only take place later tonight or on Monday. You have been warned. Post availability in the thread. Also, we will meet at Mark's house, as he has kindly volunteered the services of his kitchen for the purposes of this one-shot.
Once upon a time, in the mystical lands of Soldernin, the king was gravely concerned. The forces of the mystical mage Quhexatotl, who sought to crush the world with his fiery fist, were gathering in the east. The King, as he was called, was a peaceful and kind ruler. Not only did he not want to fight Quhexatotl, his army was only the barest of honor guards, and would be unable to repel them anyway. Therefore, he has sought out a team of adventurers who would be willing to strike deep into the heart of Quhexatotl's lair in the Mountains of Muldoon, kill him, and break the spirit of his forces so that they would not regroup for many years. You, as some of the most powerful beings in the kingdom, have answered to his call, knowing that success will bring untold wealth and fame (or a quiet and comfortable living away from others, if you so desire. Or really, anything that the King can grant you.) However, be warned: failure could bring about one of the greatest ages of calamity ever known...
So yes, here are the details for the campaign:
Type: Superheroic
Points: 225+75 in Disadvantages for a total of 300
Banned Powers: Off the top of my head, Desolidification, Missile Deflection/Reflection, FTL and Extra-Dimensional Travel, Find Weakness/Lack of Weakness. There might be others, but VPPs, Multiforms, Summoning, etc. are all fine.
Banned Advantages: Megascale
Damage Cap: 24d6 Normal, 20d6 AV Mental Defense, 15d6 AV Power Defense, 8d6 Killing. Ask if you want to go higher, and I will consider it.
CV Cap: OCV+DCV total at 30, ECV+DECV at 25. Again, ask if you want to go higher.
The limitations are arbitrary to a degree, but no enemy will exceed them.
Ensure that your character is prepared for a wide variety of combat scenarios. I expect well-constructed characters! You don't really need super-solid backstories though, being that I've posted basically no setting and this is a one-shot anyway.
Oh, feel free to poke as much fun at DnD tropes as you like. And you are not restricted to Tolkeinesque races - if you want to play a celestial half-dragon or a cloud giant, I'm not going to stop you.
