For the past few weeks First Recon Division has been completing preparations for the entrance into Iran. So far air and artillery units have been pounding the borders for a week straight in preparation for the massive dash across the border. At this very moment, everyone sits prepared to launch into enemy territory. Feelings within the humvee are tense as the team once more sits in MOPP suits, fearful of possible chemicals that probably won’t come. Word slowly comes down that the first objective will be the city of Ilam, a pretty big place compared to most of the Iraq cities you took back in 2003. Word is that the Iranians have a pretty big station within the town, and plan to use it as a major roadblock for the Coalition forces cutting towards Tehran…well you’ll have to show them who they’re dealing with…

(Finally...)
Evan yells down to the main compartment of the humvee. "Yo...let's get rolling down there!"

I rev up a bit in response to Colbert's little comment and we get moving. "I don't get what you're so impatient about. There's a lot of nothing for the next few miles." Make any Drive checks and Spot checks. We'll be cruising at a moderate speed for a while.

"Ready to blast some sand monkies, big guy?" Swofford asks Colbert.

"You bet...I'm always ready for some hucka-lucka carnage."
