You have some cold hard cash, yes, but not much.

Oh, did you pick a familiar for Elcor, or should I?

You are free to pick the familiar.

Well, since it's the West, it's no place for stuff like Toads and Weasels. Snake shall be good; +3 Bluff and it fits in with the environment.
What's this about Elcor being taken under the wing of some other sorcerer? Don't sorcerer's hone their arcane arts by themselves? It's wizards who learn from others.

In regards to Skill Synergy: Both Bluff and Sense Motive give a +2 synergy to Diplomacy if I have 5 ranks or more in them, which I do, but do I actually get the +2 bonus twice, or only once? In other words, do the synergys (synergies?) stack?

The Synergies stack yes. And yes Steve, Elcor did recieve arcane advice from another sorcerer. While uncommon, some sorcerers do learn from others, it's not that they're learning spells and skill, but philosophy and technique. It didn't help him become a stronger sorcerer, but one with more control thus a better sorcerer.
