I bought Pokemon!!! And I'll look through the old games to see what I have, apparently I have a Jirachi on Saphire though... and this is after my friend deleted my old game... which just confuses me really....
Oooh, make that two jirachis now. And I can't find my gold n silver, so chances are low for the earlier guys. How do you even get chikorota and them besides from the GBC games?
I'm restarting saphire so I'm gonna get treecko. Can I by chance just be able to put an old pokemon game into the gb slot of the DS and be able to trade that way? And possibly before I beat the Elite 4? And wtf is this GTS thing? are you saying we no longer have to socially interact in order to trade or pokemon?

Any games before Ruby and Sapphire are incompatable with the Cross-Generation Transferring. I.E.: No Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal to Diamond and Pearl.
The three GSC Starters were availiable in the bad Coliseum and XD games, and one could be obtained in Emerad if you got all 200 Pokemon in the RSE 'Dex.
I will gladly releive you of one of those Jirachis. The only requirement for the GBA games is to have at least 7 Pokemon, since you have to always send 6 per transfer. And you need at least one in your Party. You need to beat the Elite 4 and SEE, not catch, every DP Pokemon to be able to transfer. It's not hard at all. I have six badges and already have seen 100 out of the 150.
GTS is the Global Trade Station. You offer a Pokemon for another, and the game will look for a compatible trade with someone else over Wi-Fi. Or you could accept an offer from someone. I got my Turtwig through the GTS then traded with a Penny Arcadian to get a Chimchar.
I think I'll just transfer my Venusaur from LeafGreen, since I doubt I'd play that again now that I have Pearl. So between the two of us, we shall only lack the GSC Starters.

Oh, and 5455-5864-6503
When you can finally trade, I will send you the guy I told you about earlier. I myself use one of his brothers, currently at level 36. Just give me some junk like Starly in exchange.

Alright, so... my DS doesn't want to connect to the internet at all. I'm 98% sure it's the routers fault, something with the transmission frequency crap, I dont know how to fix it though... I can be standing right next to the router, even touching it with the DS, but it still can't seem to connect... I can connect with the Wii as usual, but the DS wont work. So I'm not going to be trading for a while....

Figures. I just got the National Dex, too. Breeding up some Eevees and soon Bulbasaurs.
Next meeting, bring your GBA game and I'll give you the Torchic. You can get non-DP Pokemon in trades, they just won't be added to the Dex until after you have the National Dex.

Alright Steve, 4 questions: 1. When does Onyx get a good ground or rock move? (I hate rock throw, and wtf is with dragon breath...) 2. When does Luxray get a good electric move? (I hate spark) 3. When does Ponyta get a good fire move? (I hate ember, and dont even get me started on firespin) 4. When does the penguin get a good steel move? (I hate metal claw) They're in their low thirties right now. Also, does ponyta evolve using a fire stone, or at a certain level?
In other randomness, I gave my sister Saphire and my SP to play since the guy shes with now also has the new pokemon, and she felt left out. She has no fucking clue what shes doing. Also, Avi, if you even read these posts, tell Merri I finally found the manual for Steel Battalion if she's interested.

Onyx will always suck in terms of dealing damage. His vital role lies in his great Defense. You can teach him Stone Edge and Rock Slide through TMs.
Luxray has a crappy movepool for a Physial Electric type. Spark/Thunder Fang is the best he gets.
Ponyta gets Flare Drive. Somewhere in the 40s-50s after it evolves on its own. Not worth it.
Pengy doesn't learn any other Steel moves, but can learn Flash Cannon from the 6th Gym's TM. But Steel is a pretty crappy attacking type, only good against Ice and Rock. Pengy already has Water to take down Rock, and he has a 4x resistance against Ice.
My sister was the same way back when she bought some special edition Pokemon GB Color and Yelow. She ran from every battle, got her ass handed to her when she tried taking Pikachu against Brock (apparently Aim For The Horn does not work for all ignorant people), and quit right after, despite me lending her the Red/Blue/Yellow guide I owned and my offers to assist her. She has never actually finished a video game to this day.

Me want Odin Sphere. Now. 2 DS anime sprites + real time combat + RPG elements + crazy little side strategies involving fruits + multiple playable characters, each on different sides of some big war = glee.

Okay, just let me know that I gave you the Totodile Egg and not the Torchic Egg when you finally hatch it, Brian.
And clean your damn badges!

Yeah, it's totodile. Also, I'm trying to breed this Glalie to get a snorunt... its a male, and I tried breeding it with an onyx, but the egg I got hatched another onyx... is it random or do i need a female glalie or a ditto or something like that...?
--So yeah, I tried some again. Got a couple more eggs from the glalie and the onyx... got a couple more onyx..es... Then tried the combusken who was male, with a female pachirisu... got a pachirisu.... I'm just gonna assume I'm screwed until I get ditto out from green....

Yeah, you'll always get the lowest form of the female unless you breed it with a Ditto. Then you'll get the lowest of the other Pokemon.
I can get a Ditto for you, but it would have to wait til the next meeting in two weeks. And you'd get the Chikorita and Cyndaquil at the same time, too. You'd most likely have the National Dex by then, though.

You are ablidged to do so!

Drifloon is found today at the Windworks near Floraroma. It's in the low 20's.
Magmortar? Blastoise? I don't know of any Pokemon with cannons in their chests, but Magmortar has one in each arm and Blastoise has two in his shell. Neither fires infants, though.
We must get Avi to embrace Pokemon so that all four of the Loser Superheroes are represented!
