Well then, here we begin on another whirlwind adventure... but before we begin let's go over some new rules and the like, here are the ones on Social Ranks: Rules of Conduct 1. It is impertinent to address members of a non adjacent higher rank without being spoken to first. Basiclaly if you see someone of obvious higher rank it is highly impolite to talk to them without being spoken to first. 2. It is considered indecent to associate with someone of lower rank unless that person of lower rank is obviously a servant.
Courtesy
When showing courtesy to someone of higher rank you are expected to bow when greeting them, not speak unless addressed, and not leave until you are dismissed. You do not publicly challange the decisions of higher individuals, and you do not adopt a familiar tone when speaking to them. 2. Showing courtesy to people of lower rank means not become familiar with them either. To treat a servent as a friend is demeaning to you and an embarassing to the servant 3. Only among your peers can you relax and make friends
These are abbreviated there are some finesses and the like among ideals and such but yeah those are the basics.
Now speaking of social rank, it's servant time!!
Avi (has request both lackey and watchman) Lackey, Chad Rippleton: Str: 12, Dex: 11, Con: 14, Int: 11, Wis: 12, Cha: 12, 6hp, AC 10, BAB+0, Fort+2, Ref+0, Will+1 Chad is a young rascal you took into your care for no other reason beyond needing a servant and that he was cheap. He likes you as a master and thinks your a hero who stepped out of a novel. The boy's a bit naive and imaginitave.
Watchman, John Smith, Str: 14, Dex: 12, Con: 12, Int: 12, Wis: 9, Cha: 8, 9hp, AC 13 (+1 Dex, +2 Buff Coat), BAB+1, Broadsword +4 (1d8+2), Fort+3, Ref+1, Will-1 John is an old serviceman from the old parliamentary army, he's retired now and took the job as your watchman because he needed money plus room and board. His old and faithful hound Rover is also with him.
Tynan: You as of right now just have a lackey, for extra money you can get some more to travel with you not that you really need it... Lackey, Charles Cunningham, Str: 13, Dex: 12, Con: 13, Int: 14, Wis: 14, Cha: 10, 5hp, AC 11, Fort+1, Ref+1, Will+2 Charles is a young Puritan boy who has taken up journeying with you in hopes of learning more of the scriptures. He's fairly wise for his age, and overall has a good head on his shoulders, it's easy to be fond of him.
Erm, does anyone else want a lackey, turns out Steve can also get one, they're only like 5gp every three months. Also everyone should note: Servants do not fight for you, Servants will not take a bullet for you, Servants are only in it for the money or the experience they're not doing this 'cause they like you so treat them with enough respect and such.

Ideals of Uropans in Northern Crown
Honor: Honor is something expected of individuals at all levels of society, despite personal feelings or even deep hatreds. Generally, it can be thought of as a code for personal interaction composed of four individual principles: -Vouchsafe: Vouchsafe is the fisrt principle of honor. It means that once you have given your word to another person, you will not break it, even if it costs you your life. To betray another's trust is considered treachery, which immediately places you outside the civilized world. IN Dante's nferno, the traitors Judas, Brutus, and Cassius occupy the deepest circle of hell-even lower than murderers and theives. There is no quicker way to become an outcast then to let it be known that you have committed treachery against someone to whom you have given vouchsafe. -Credit: Credit is the practice of treating others as their station deserves. To act with credit is to faithfully serve those above you, and to act as a fair and reasonably generous master to those below you. To be too generous or too stingy to one's servants is to lose credit with them; lavish rewards will embarrass them and make them suspect in the eyes of their peers, while withholding any reward and still expecting loyal service will soon erode not only their loyalty to you, but also your honor in the eyes of your peers and betters. -Mercie : Mercie is the quality of not exacting revenge upon a defeated enemy, even if he has caused you great harm. Honorable characters always accept the surrender of an enemy-or even better, giver their enemy a chance to recover and continue the fight on even ground. To gratuitously injure or mistreat someone who is in your power shows a definite lack of sangfroid; it is a sign of weakness. -Courage: Courage is physical braver-a lack of visible concern for pain, discomfort, and death. Such situations are seen as a chance to exhibit good humor. To shrink from danger or flinch at the experience of pain makes you a coward. If death is inevitable, it is far more honorable to die well then to live as a coward without honor.
Sangfroid: The ideal of sangfroid, or coldbloodedness, means not that you are ruthless, but that you do not let anger or petty grudges cloud your judgment. Acting withough thinking through the consequences of your actions is considered rash or choleric. A character with sangfroid will turn in a traitorous fellow officer to his commander, even if the traitor is a friend, because not to do so may be damaging to one's own honor, and besides, the traitor knew very well what the consequences would be if he was discovered.
Good Humor: All Uropans are expected to be in good humor, meaning that they refrain from public displays of anger, frustration, and dissappointment. To demonstrate ill humor in the company of your associates is embarrassing for them, because it calls their own character into question. A character who remains cheerful, or even cockily defiant, in the face of overwhelming odds earns respect from friends and foe alike. To wring one's hands or sulk is to give in to melancholy, the traditional temperament of artists, thinkers, and Danish princes.
Courtesy: Courtesy as described in Scoial Rank, is the display of proper manners to one's peers, betters, and servants-the medium through which credit is given and received. It involves an exchange of gestures and words that reinforce and acknowledge your rank in relation to another person. Character lacking courtesy are said to be base or low. Such pople will never lack for challenges to a duel at dawn, in an age where access to money and power depends on your rank, to ignore a discourteous act is to admit that you are unworthy of your place in the social order, with possibly disastrous consequences.
Just some other notes- The ideals of the age do not address every aspect of behavior, by any means. For example, they say nothing for or against enjoying the worldly pleasures of food, drink, gambling, and romance. Your religion may indeed preach against these, but such things are a matter of individual conscience rather than public record. If you can make merry without discrediting or insulting anyone, few people will care. Non-violence is not mentioned as an ideal either. This is an age where nearly everyone carries a sword or knife to defend honor, faith, friends, and property. Your own conscience might prevent you from using violence, but there is no universal condemnation against it. It all depends upon whether you were honorably fighting a well-matched foe, or dishonorably bullying a weaker victim. Whatever you do, don't confuse the ideals of the age with chivalry, which survives only as a kind of parlor game among the nobility and as a subject of satire for writers and poets like Cervantes and Ariosto. It is considered positively medieval for an honorable man to publicly pine for a married woman, and indecent for her to encourage it. Courtesy is to be extended universally, if it is to be of any value, not just to the object of your romantic interest.

Uropan Languages (in parenthesis is who speaks it): Breton (Breton Kelts) Buccaneer Cant (Buccaneers) Catalan (Espaniards from Catalonia) Cymric (Cymric Kelts) English (Albians, Carolingans, Commonwealthers, Sophians) Francias (Coureurs, Francais, Sophian Leaders) German (Francais from Lorraine) Greek (Educated Sophians) Hebrew (Educated Sophians) Italian (Francais from Southern France) Keltic Group (Eirish and Scotian Kelts, Albians from shires bordering Kelt countries) Langue d'oc (Espaniard and Francais bards, Francais from Southern France) Latin (Espaniard and Francais clerics, Educated Sophians) Nederlans (Nederlanders) Norsk (Vinlanders) Spanish (Espaniards)

Session Summary: November 12th, 1666 The party after stumbling into a Francais town in an area north of the Ascutney region of Northern Crown and south of the Canadian River, was awoken in the middle of the night by the Albian's servant. As it turned out the small town was under attack, the group responded fairly quickly. Moving towards the walls they found that a number of ghastly beasts were assaulting the palisades trying to break in. Soon enough sounds of bagpipes filled the air as the Scotsman played an uplifting melody. The Scout and Paladin surged out of the gate and began cutting into the undead, sustaining some injuries themselves. The Albian Agent released arrows from his perch in the ramparts he caused many of the beasts to weaken so that the other combatants were able to tear them down. As the last undead beast was destroyed the party's minds turned back to the night in Paris just a few weeks prior...
October 20th, 1666 The night began in a seedy tavern. The Espaniard and Scotsman met after insults were volleyed along the streets, their attempt at a duel was ended when a scream was heard from within a private room of the tavern. As the agent rushed forth, a man stumbled out dying in his arms sputtering out the words "The Wolf hunts on Renault." A man stepped out afterwards, who was then quickly followed by the agent. The man was also followed by the Paladin because he was obviously evil, the Paladin followed by the angry Scotsman. As the party travelled through the streets of Paris, they lost the man in a smoke-filled bar. Outside the group met in a near scuffle and argument over who everyone was and who this evil man was. After checking with passersby they discovered that the person was heading for a richer area of town. In this better district, they found their quarry in a dark alley with a number of shady individuals. Before the agent could creep in, the paladin charged forth, a fight ensued, most got away, and one was killed. Putting the pieces of the conversation that they had overheard together, the group made their way to the mansion of Henri de'Tocque. They quickly made their way past the front gates and then up to the house proper. Once there, they discovered that the party they had expected to find in full swing had actually been stopped short by their evil quarry who had now amassed skeletons to fight for him. The Puritan who had followed behind the group safely waited in the front hall as the rest of the group sojourned up the stairs in an attempt at exploration. They soon found some men fiddling with a door, the agent creeped out after the scotsman used magic to snuff out the wall sconces, but his stealth was foiled once again as the Carolingan Scout was spotted by the operatives. A quick fight ensued, two of the men were killed, one captured, and the agent nearly lost. The group then made their way into a study finding many interesting items, and a set of notes, which according to the captive was something he was looking for. They left the room returning towards the atrium and ballroom balcony only to find their cleric friend having been captured by an enemy patrol. But once ushered into the ballroom he was able to turn the undead, only after a few of the guests were killed. With his undead minions subdued the evil man fled, making his way to De'Tocque's study and capturing the notes as well. De'Tocque with Apparati in hand was able to destroy the undead himself. After the incident, he offered the group the job of retrieving his notes, which after he sweetened the deal they accepted. And so the group was bound for Northern Crown, the only possible place one could go with his nearly completed essay...
