PRICELESS ARTIFACT STOLEN FROM DWARVEN TOMB
A few nights ago, the tomb of a dangerous Dwarf, Caren Fongarth a man outcasted from the Fongarth clan 3 centuries ago (he died about fifty years later), was raided by a group of dangerous people, including a Mind Flayer and people who give homage to the dangerous god Hextor. The group destroyed the tomb wards, releasing Caren's tomb guardians (a group of vicious undead beasts) upon a section of the Dwarf Hold Mountains, when clan warriors and wizards came to investigate they found that most of Caren's things had been left untouched except for his famed weapon Durkoth the Light-Splitter, a massive sword used by Caren to kill defenders of good which included a large amount of his personal family. No one knows what happened to the robbers, many speculate they are still in the Dwarf Hold Mountains, and most of the clans have mobilized forces to find them.

While in Doppler you were once more able to pick up a copy of the Caladonian Times, the headline was as follows:
GNOMISH PEACE TALKS FAIL!
As the Gnomes entered peace talks to end their civil war a large number of events happened in each country to halt the talks entirely. In the Namfoodle capital of Doppler a string of terrorist attacks have left parts of the city crippled, mainly areas connected with the war effort. A few agents were captured before they were able to teleport away, and they were found to be Temple Guardians in the service of Diggery Doo. The current Namfoodle president claimed that the attacks were wholely unjustified and that it showed that Diggery Doo was a danger to peace in all of its forms. Namfoodle then requested its allies to assist in finally ending this nonsensical war. In response, Scuro sent its 14th Infantry Battallion and Bazavluk has sent a battallion of Lancers and 2 battallions of Infantry. Meanwhile in Northern Diggery Doo, the nation has been under attack by Insurgents who are sympathetic to the Namfoodle cry for peace. A few insurgents were captured and determined to be in contact with the Namfoodle government (or so claims Diggery Doo). A large number of patrols were found dead throughout Diggery Doo towns, Temple Guardian Deron Goljan said that the patrols were killed by adventurers in league with Namfoodle who fled to Doppler after the attacks. Though the adventurers have not been reached for comment it is most likely a false statement made to cover up gaps in Diggery Doo defense along their borders with the Lands of Chaos. In the mean time it has become obvious that the Civil War shall continue to rage.

TROUBLE ARISES IN NEW SCURO (From the Desk of Colonial Correspondent Merkal Dalius)
New Keep-In the past few weeks the natives of Lonteron have been pushing against colonies to the south of the center of Scuron Colonial Power, New Keep. This has caused many colonists to raise their voices in a call for support from the Crown or at least New Keep, if that is unplausible then militias should form. The formation of Militias is illegal in the colony of New Scuro, and according to the Royal Governor Lord Brocktree will stay that way. The excuse of New Castle (the home of the Royal Governor) is that "Perhaps if the colonists stayed within the borders of New Scuro, as opposed to several miles south of them, the Fourth Colonial Legion would be able to partol in their area, as well as respond to attacks. In addition, perhaps then the savages wouldn't be so willing to attack. This is a perfect example of why Colonial Borders should be heeded, the legions can only do so much to protect the colonists, but when a colonist goes out of their reach then they are lost to New Scuro. Remember there are no laws against owning and using weaponry, colonists are encouraged to always carry a weapon upon them, the only thing banned by law is the formation of regimented groups besides a local sheriff office. This means that no colonist should ever complain about being undefended, end of story." Obviously the government is trying to hide behind it's own bureaucracy as opposed to actually helping the colonists. Though it is a well known fact that the Colonial Legions are spread fairly thin across the Paskuhall Plain borders of New Scuro it doesn't mean they can neglect their duties to defend the colonies. The survivors of the most recent attack will be taking thier case to court, famous Advocate Eli Murray (known for his famous work in the Jarris v. Mage's Guild trials) will be pleading the case. All of Scuro's colonies will be waiting with bated breath for the verdict of the new case: People of Red Ridge v. Colonial Government

Heh, too bad for "Lord" Avi Brocktree. I have a feeling he'll be killed as soon as we meet him (and not by us).

No I'm fucking telling you there's no way that those nazis would make a talking divine badger Royal Governor of a colony on the new continent... I can just imagine my fist words... "Lord Brocktree... you're taller than I imagined, and less furry."
It's called 'metagaming!'
