Clubs (A large city, such as Lygo will enevitably begin to support clubs, bars, and any other establishment that provides a quick respite from urban living, as well as the chance of performing the reproductive act.)
-Lounges (Quiet places to head and relax with a few chums, no dancing just sitting with drinks and perhaps the occassional discussion on certain subjects. Normally lounges might have music in the background but it is low and far from the focal piece of the establishment.)
-Smoking Lounges (Where the rich and powerful come to enjoy hour'douvres, smoke nice cigars, discuss economics, politics, maybe even fine art. It is a place to relax, often filled with cushy armchairs, roaring fireplaces, dim lighting, and a well stocked bar.)
-Light Drinking Establishments (Similar to Smoking Lounges, the Light Drinking Establishment is often a wine club, or public parlor for the rich or those who wish to splurge a little where they can come to discuss the latest news and happenings in an area. They are normally not even consistently open or in the same place, but more a moving system like that of a rave but with a much different focus. The best comparison to it is the Salons of the Enlightenment.)
-Political Debate Circles (These interesting places normally coelesce within coffee shops though sometimes they can exist all within thesmelves. They can sometimes be little more than a rabble of political ideaologies though sometimes they are true debates and conversations concerning politics of the day, the past, and the future. Though they can form before ones eyes, the more consistent debate places can only be found by those in the know as they are secretive and support all forms of political machinery from Monarchies to Anarchy.)
-Goth Lounges (These dark and private lounges exist in small lofts or bars that cater to that dark atmosphere craved by some people who might fashion themselves vampires or other creatures of the night. Others just delight in the darkness of the night and embrace it full on. Hard to find, a Goth Lounge is for a specific clientele who only wishes to listen to dreary music and poems, sip odd and exotic liquors, and discuss some of the oddest practices imaginable. Sometimes though, it is said that something more goes on in these clubs, stirrings occur in the night that perhaps only these people know.)
-Traditional Drinking Establishments (Places that serve Alchohol as their main source of profit, though they often also have a small offering of food. They are general meeting places for friends, lovers, business men, and coworkers.)
-Bars (Your typical drinking establishment with no other focus but the alchohol, their might be a television showing sports or the news but there doesn't have to be. Most bars do contain a juke box and an open expanse that is mainly just a space to traverse though sometimes the occassional drunkard will get up and dance in it. Heavier foods such as ribs or burgers might be served but finger foods like french fries, hot wings, and so forth are much more typical. Some bars are also minibrewries supporting a house brew.)
-Sports Bars (When you want to watch the game, or just a game, and the house is full of people, or you want to avoid the wife, or you just want to kick back and be with other people who enjoy sports, this is where you go. Sports Bars in Lygo are normally havens for the fans of Lygo's baseball and football teams though other sports are watched during the off seasons. Most of the bars include multiple televisions, lots of beer or hard liquor, salted peanuts, maybe pretzels, and perhaps some typical barfood could be ordered depending on the establishment. Some places even sell sports periphenial or act as bookies for betting.)
-Dance Clubs (Large places with the dance floor and music as the main focus though more often than not containing bars and places to sit down and relax. They are the main place for younger people to get together and hook up for the night, or to just unwind and dance for awhile. Lygo sports many fashionable clubs as well as smaller more casual places.)
-Techno/House (These are huge places supporting at least one large dance floor and possibly several smaller ones. They are simple affairs with no more purpose than dancing to the popular music of the day. Drugs of all types seem to flow through these places in one form or another though it is not requirement for a good club. Dancing, good music, and most likely good drinks make for the best club atmosphere.)
-Rock Bars (Normally more casual than clubs that pump out techno music, these places are normally bars by day and rock venues by night, hosting bands both local, national, and sometimes international. They normally host a large standing room as well as some seats though these might be taken up by merch tables for bands, the stage can be small or large depending on the bar.)
-Raves (Huge roaming parties that originally were devised in London, they normally take over abandoned warehouses are factories and turn them into gigantic clubs for a night or perhaps a week, they can go on for longer but it's very odd. They generally involve more drugs than imaginable, and some of the newest techno or just generic dance music available. It is the expanse of the rave that makes it amazing, not anything else, the sheer mass of people make it. In Lygo City, the Rave caught on in the 90s like most American Cities, but it slowly started to die off until recently when the cyberpunk scene brought it back in full force.)
-Traditional/Retro (This is more of a revivalist and purist movement among people who don't want cybernetics or truly just want to feel the old rave style. These are generally what you'd expect, lots of drugs, good music, glowsticks, and plenty of dancing. The retro movement in Lygo is slowly starting to give way though, it is what brought back the idea but it is finally evolving into the new way.)
-Cyber Rave (The wave of the future began with some of the first purely aestetic cybernetic implants, they were simple at first, small glowing lights, interesting skin patterns, shifting eye colors. Yet as time wore on they became more advanced, veins overlayed with a glowrod like substance, eyes that can shift the entire eyes color creating a sunglass effect, and most importantly enhanced senses. Now people can go to Raves and truly experience the music, feel the beat, the drugs are newer and bolder to tap into the cybernetically enhanced senses and play along with the new features. Everything about a cyber rave is a step above the old, the people, the drugs, the music, the everything, it's perfect some say.)
