Im not sure of everyone's New Year's Plans yet, not even sure of my own, but I decided that if I get 5 gamers at my house on New Years I am totally gonna do that marine adventure so if you're interested pick a character now:
The Leader: Sergeant Dan Brown, Tough 3/Charismatic 3: Str: 12, Dex: 14, Con: 18, Int: 14, Wis: 12, Cha: 16, 57hp, Defense 21 (+2 Dex, +3 Class, +6 Armor), Speed 30ft, BAB+3, M16A2 +6 (2d8, 80ft, 20/x2), M79 +1 (3d6, 70ft, 20/x2), Beretta 92F +5 (2d6, 40ft, 20/x2), Combat Knife +4 (1d6+1), Tactical Vest, Fort+8, Ref+5, Will+3, Special: Remain Conscious, DR 1/--, Coordinate, Inspiration Feats: Light Armor Proficiency, Personal Firearms Proficiency, Advanced Firearms Proficiency, Alertness, Weapon Focus: M16A2, Point Blank Shot, Medium Armor Proficiency Skills: Knowledge (Tactics) +11, Survival +10, Spot +7, Concentration +9, Intimidate +12, Bluff +6, Diplomacy +6, Disguise +7, Gather Information +8 Gear: Gas Mask, MOPP Suit, 6 antidotes, Pack of Valium, Comm System, 4 Frag Grenades, 12 40mm Grenades, Weapons&Ammo, Tactical Maps, GPS Reciever Background: It is widely believed that the Sgt came out of the womb with the Globe, Anchor, and Eagle emblazoned upon his chest screaming Hoorah. He spent his childhood playing soldier in the woods of Minnesota, fishing and hunting with his father. He was not the best of students though far from a dumbass, he was an avid reader of history, mainly military, and it was evident at an early age that he would join the marines. As most teenagers with his intelligence focused on AP courses and college applications he focused on hard jogging, heavy lifting, and just generally staying in shape. Dan is not the brightest, fastest, or strongest marine, but he's a damn good leader and more than capable of getting soldiers to follow him to the depths of hell. He's dedicated to his country, the corps, and his mission, though he loves his marines he will put the mission above them at all costs, as one to follow the rules to the letter he finds situations requiring spontaneous thought difficult. Still though, this adherence to protocol makes him a capable leader, able to keep his cool under pressure.
The Driver: Corporal John Wright, Tought 2/Fast 4: Str: 12, Dex: 18, Con: 18, Int: 14, Wis: 12, Cha: 11, 56hp, Defense 21 (+4 Dex, +7 Class), Speed 30ft, BAB+4, Fort+7, Ref+6, Will+2, Beretta 92F +8 (2d6, 40ft, 20/x2), Combat Knife +5 (1d6+1), M16A2 +8 (2d8, 80ft, 20/x2), Special: Robust, Evasion, Uncanny Dodge 1 Feats: Personal Firearms Proficiency, Vehicle Expert, Drive-By Attack, Point Blank Shot, Vehicle Dodge, Doube Tap, Toughness, Quick Reload Skills: Disable Device +11, Disguise +9, Drive +15, Sleight of Hand +11, Tumble +11, Hide +11, Move Silently +11, Spot +5 Gear: Gas Mask, MOPP Suit, 6 antidotes, Pack of Valium, Comm System, 4 Frag Grenades, Night Vision Goggles, Weapons&Ammo Background: Wright was born to a poor family in Hell's Kitchen of Washington D.C., Wright was not given the best chances in life. In reality he had no plans to improve himself through education either, a realist he realized that one of his best ways to improve his situation was through crime. Wright worked his way into many gangs until he found a small crew in need of a fast guy with a good head on his shoulders. Fitting the description perfectly, John took up the role of getaway driver, he took them from so many crimes, so many major heists that the idea of getting caught never entered his mind. Then on a big score, they were caught, John being only 16 at the time was given the choice of prison or "cleaning up his act". Being an oppurtunist, he decided that life as a marine was more exciting than prison with better chances when he got out. So with a few white lies about age requirements, John entered into the marine corps, and now he is still a good driver with a good tendency to bullshit and back talk.
The Gunner: Corporal Evan Colbert, Tough 3/Strong 1/Soldier 2: Str: 16, Dex: 16, Con: 16, Int: 11, Wis: 14, Cha: 11, 58hp, Defense 20 (+3 Dex, +3 Armor, +4 Class), Speed 30ft, BAB+4, M2HB +8 (2d12+1, 110ft, 20/x2), M249 S.A.W. +7 (2d10, 30ft,19-20/x2), Beretta 92F +7 (2d6, 40ft, 20/x2), Combat Knife +7 (1d6+3), Undercover Vest, Fort+8, Ref+6, Will+3 Special: Second Wind, DR 1/--, Extreme Effort, Weapon Focus: M2HB, Weapon Specialization: M2HB Feats: Light Armor Proficiency, Personal Firearms Proficiency, Advanced Firearms Proficiency, Brawl, Exotic Firearms Proficiency: Heavy Machine Guns, Burst Fire Skills: Hide +11, Move Silently +11, Spot +10, Knowledge (Tactics) +3, Listen +4 Gear: Gas Mask, MOPP Suit, 6 antidotes, Pack of Valium, Comm System, 4 Frag Grenades, Night Vision Goggles, Weapons&Ammo Background: Evan was never smart, nor witty, but he's always been big and strong. As young as 13 he was already topping out above 6 feet tall, and now he stands about four inches shy of seven feet. He's wide, rippling muscles that have let him set records for weight lifting, his last record breaker was somewhere in the 300s. Evan joined the corps for a simple life with little questions, he does what he's asked, and gets rewarded. He is also the closest to a "crack-shot" with a .50 cal gun, by this we mean that he is extremely capable of filling the air with lead, this is in fact his strategy most of the time: get as close to the enemy as possible and just fill the air about them with lead. Evan is a damn good warrior simple as that.
Demolitions: Corporal John Swofford, Tough 3/Smart 3: Str: 12, Dex: 14, Con: 16, Int: 16, Wis: 14, Cha: 14, 47hp, Defense 21 (+2 Dex, +3 Class, +6 Armor), Speed 30ft, BAB+3, Beretta 92F +5 (2d6, 40ft, 20/x2), M16A2 +5 (2d8, 80ft, 20/x2), Combat Knife +4 (1d6+1), Tactical Vest, Fort+6, Ref+4, Will+5, Special: Remain Conscious, DR 1/--, Savant (Demolitions), Plan Feats: Light Armor Proficiency, Personal Firearms Proficiency, Point Blank Shot, Toughness, Double Tap, Cautious, Medium Armor Proficiency Skills: Demolitions +17, Knowledge (Tactics) +12, Concentration +9, Spot +8, Survival +8, Climb +7, Disable Device +14, Investigate +12, Repair +12, Search +12, Knowledge (Technology), +7 Gear: Gas Mask, MOPP Suit, 6 Antidotes, Pack of Valium, Comm System, Demolitions Kit, 8 Frag Grenades, Weapons&Ammo Background: John was a smart kid, always asking why, always taking things apart, always wanting to know how things worked and why. He amassed a good amount of knowledge throughout his years in high school, and he even went on to study chemistry in college but it wasn't for him. Because of this, he decided to join the marines, starting as a combat engineer he felt it would be extremely fun to blow things up. Slowly his interest turned more from blowing up emplacements and designing things to not blow up, to actually going around blowing up anything he saw, and so he found the spot he is now in. John normally spends his time reading or playing chess, it's a good life, killing and chess what more could a guy want...
The Medic: HM2 Dwight "Doc" Erikson, Dedicated 3/Field Medic 2/Tough 1: Str: 12, Dex: 14, Con: 16, Int: 14, Wis: 18, Cha: 14, 49hp, Defense 19 (+2 Dex, +3 Armor, +4 Class), Speed 30ft, BAB+3, Beretta 92F +5 (2d6, 40ft, 20/x2), Combat Knife +4 (1d6+1) Undercover Vest, Fort+9, Ref+3, Will+8, Special: Healing Knack, Healing Touch 1, Medical Specialist +1, Expert Healer, Remain Conscious Feats: Personal Firearms Proficiency, Educated (Earth and Life Sciences, Behavioral Sciences), Medical Expert, Surgery, Light Armor Proficiency Skills: Treat Injury +17, Knowledge (Earth and Life Sciences) +14, Craft (Pharmacuetical) +12, Spot +13, Listen +12, Sense Motive +10, Knowledge (Beahavioral Sciences) +12, Diplomacy +4, Survival +7 Gear: First Aid Kit, Medical Kit, Binoculars, Comm system, Flashlight, Personal Items, Gas Mask, MOPP Suit, Antidotes (12), 2 packs of Valium, 4 Frag Grenades, Weapons&Ammo Background: Dwight started his life born to doctors, it seemed almost obvious that he'd follow the same career. And for a time, to be like his parents, saving lives, made sense. He worked towards this goal, and was grandfathered into Harvard Medical, he was set. He recieved his doctorate relatively early, having been that dedicated to it all. Yet, his world changed on September 11th and he realized that saving lives extended far beyond the civilian population, and so he made his way into the Naval Corpsman to be attached to a marine unit. He knows medicine, he knows how to treat patients, and thanks to some time and effort, he knows how to do it all with bullets whizzing around his head.
